15 Things We Learned From Vince McMahon On The Steve Austin Show

1. The Overall Show

Honestly, this was the highlight of the WWE Network's first year. Austin was a fantastic interviewer and McMahon was forthright in his answers. It was almost all too direct. The way Vince buried the current roster was shocking, questioning the very ambition of his employees. Cesaro in particular was buried with Vince's comments about not having "it." The most notable thing we can take away from the show was the CM Punk passage. Vince left an olive branch out to his former employee, apologising about the way things ended and stating he'd like to work together again. It will be interesting to see what Punk made of that, if anything, and we will hopefully find out when Colt Cabana does a follow up Q and A radio show this week. The Savage stuff was also remarkable. It was arguably the most physically uncomfortable Vince looked in the entire interview, but Austin did manage to get him committing to a Hall Of Fame induction. WWE absolutely need to do more content like this for the Network, but as Vince said about Brock, "special attractions" only mean something because they happen so rarely. What a pleasure this broadcast was, make sure you watch it!
