15 Things We Learned From Scott Steiner: Live And Uncensored

14. A 'F**k You' To The Booking Committee And Fantasy Opponents

When talking about some of his favourite Steiner Brothers matches, Scott mentioned some of their outings against the likes of Doom, The Road Warriors and the team of Sting and Lex Luger. Steiner said that one of his favourites was the absolutely fantastic match against the latter at SuperBrawl 1992, and there was an interesting backstory to it. All four men involved felt as though they were being set up to fail by then WCW booker Dusty Rhodes. Back then, it was very uncommon to have two babyface teams square off against one another and they felt they could be booed out of the building. As a response, they decided to go balls-to-the-wall and have a Japanese style match, ensuring the crowd would react favourably. They pulled it off, and considered it a 'f**k you' to the booking committee. Regarding fantasy opponents, Scott said that they wrestled pretty much everyone from that era and would be hard-pressed to find a contemporary team worth squaring off with. When one fan suggested New Day, Steiner seemed non-plussed. 'New Day? It would be a pretty f***ing bad day for those guys (if they got in there with me and Rick)'.
