10. McMahon’s “Drug Free” Clip Is Fascinating

Naturally, the messy steroid trial business from the early-to-mid-90s was a hugely impactful chapter of Vince's life. It's given ample time in the series, and rightly so. Midway through all of the chatter about federal governments and whether or not McMahon would go down, there's an unseen clip from the archives you need to see.

See above for a snazzy still from it.

Vince is shown addressing his audience by saying they can rest assured the WWF is “drug free family entertainment”. Then, once the cameras stop rolling, he screws up his face as if to say 'that sucked'. Yeah, let’s just guess that was left on the cutting room floor! The timing couldn't have been worse for McMahon and his team to try this sort of stunt.

That’s the beauty of this series. It includes some incredible 'B roll' footage from the archives you’d just never see on a WWE platform. Netflix follows up on this throughout with some other duff takes from the then-boss, and it's eye-opening to see Vince acknowledge things aren't going well.

His human side comes out (albeit briefly) during a time when that certainly wasn't the norm.
