15 Things You Forgot About Triple H's Rise To Power In WWE

10. He Paid His Dues In French Wigs And Hog Pen Filth

A big current criticism of WWE is that wrestlers are made to go through 'career killing' gimmicks. The current example is Damien Sandow, who nearly every week is having to come out in fancy dress. Fans are bemoaning it and Sandow probably isn't too thrilled either. Here's the thing though, how can Sandow go backstage to the boss and complain about the act? Triple H is going to turn around and point out that he went through the exact same things - and look at him now! Hunter was made to wrestler in silly aristocratic clothing and even in pig s**t on one occasion. He didn't complain about it, he took it as an opportunity. He comments in 'Making The Game' that his willingness to do what the boss asked eventually gained him better opportunities. Meanwhile, others who refused certain angles or moaned, soon found themselves falling down the card. Triple H had a positive attitude and paid his dues. He was never gifted anything and in fact went through more 'wrestlecrap' than most rookies would have to put up with.
