15 Things You Might Have Missed From Last Night’s WWE SmackDown

9. Rusev's Absence Was Barely Acknowledged

Rusev fans hoping to see their Bulgarian hero this week were handed little more than a token tweet from him showing support for his wife Lana. That was it, and neither Tom Phillips, Corey Graves nor Byron Saxton decided to reveal exactly why Ru-Ru wasn't in the house to show support for his wife in her bid to reach MITB.

It's a bit strange that Rusev wasn't there but Aiden English, somebody Lana had previously teased was holding her man back, was.

It wouldn't have been difficult for WWE to throw a little explanation out there. Maybe Rusev was visiting family back home in Bulgaria, or perhaps he had full confidence that English could help Lana to victory? Something, anything would have been nice. He wasn't even in a dark match before or after the show.
