15 Ups & 6 Downs For WWE NXT In 2019

3. What To Do About Killian Dain

Killian Dain has been a rule-proving exception for NXT being the saving grace for the lost main roster causes in 2019 - his return after Sanity did less than nothing on SmackDown was greeted with affection from a loyal Full Sail crowd, but his angles have thus far proven more underwhelming for his opponents than anything else.

Matt Riddle, Pete Dunne and Damian Priest didn't leap from their programmes alongside the Belfast star into high profile spots, but into the fresh air of something - anything - brand new. Release from his clutches was a relief rather than a retooling, with Dain left in stasis.

Just about every f*cker gets over on this brilliant brand, and Dain's proven able to do exactly that before. But until the key-eating chaos-merchant of WarGames 2017 finds himself again, all still looks a little lost.
