The Draft is supposed to create fresh match ups and rivalries that can play out over the next 12 months, right? That's pretty much the thing's main purpose; if Wrestler A jumps from Raw over to SmackDown, then he can theoretically have new and exciting bouts against Wrestlers B, C and D.

Not in 2020. Oh no - WWE decided to lift entire feuds and shift them sideways to another show. For example, AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy, who had been warring over the Intercontinental Title, were both moved from SmackDown to Raw. Seth Rollins, Murphy and the team of Rey and Dominik Mysterio went in the opposite direction.

Way to freshen things up.
