14. Karaoke Showdown

Even in July 2020, WWE still was churning out cringe-worthy moments, just to reinforce that the company hadn’t adjusted to these empty-arena shows. Worse, this one set the “women’s evolution” back a decade.

Despite having some of the most talented female wrestlers on the planet under their employ, WWE’s writers decided that the best way to get four women over was to have them compete… in a karaoke battle.

Naomi, Dana Brooke, Tamina and Lacey Evans “sang” theme songs of past WWE superstars, and then the PC “fans” (NXT trainees) applauded for the winner. Naturally, things broke down after Naomi was declared the victor, as Lacey attacked and the two threw their heels at the other in what looked more like a catfight than two trained wrestlers battling.

As with Steve Austin, Naomi wasn’t shy about her distaste the segment, telling fans that they had to make chicken salad out of chickensh**. Man, when the talent is burying your stuff just days later, it’s probably time to pack it in.
