12. Lumber-Zombie Match

Cross-promotional efforts can run the gamut from pitch-perfect, to good, to cringy, to outright abysmal.

Earlier this spring, we got something trending more toward the latter end of the scale when Damian Priest squared off against Miz. The match itself was a continuation of Miz’s feud with Bad Bunny, who was running with Priest for a good while. It seemed like the next logical step for the Archer of Infamy to stand on his own.

But out of nowhere, the match took a horrifying turn, as Batista sent cast members from his latest movie, “Army of the Dead,” to take part in the match. Yep, that mean we got zombie lumberjacks. And it was as bad as it sounds.

The zombies didn’t do much except creep the wrestlers out, until they dissembled John Morrison, and then dogpiled Miz after the match, presumably to eat his brain.

And that was it for that. The check from the studio cleared, so let us never speak of it again, said WWE.
