There was nothing wrong with the wrestling in Goldberg v DDP, it actually accomplished everything fans wanted from the match and is one of Goldberg's better matches in his career.

Unfortunately, Halloween Havoc 1998 overran to the point that for many households across America, the PPV feed cut out just as the main event was about to get underway.

What made things worse was the match before it was Hollywood Hulk Hogan v The Warrior in a rematch from eight years previous that was simply abysmal. WCW was forced to rerun the main event the next night on Monday Nitro as an apology to its viewers, but the damage was done and it just ended up being another nail in the coffin of the promotion.
