15 Worst Undertaker WWE PPV Matches Of All Time

12. Vs. JBL - SummerSlam 2004

Whenever JBL is commentating on an Undertaker match, he usually mentions something about their past 'wars' and how the two used to beat the tar out of each other 'back in the day'. The way the 'Wrestling God' talks about these matches, you'd think they were bona fide classics. In reality, nothing could be further from the truth. JBL and The Demon from Death Valley had a summer/autumn series in 2004, during JBL's notoriously long WWE Title reign. The majority of their matches were unbelievably boring affairs, the worst of which was their first PPV clash at SummerSlam. The match went down like a led balloon in front of the 'Bizarro World' (according to the announcers) Canadian crowd. Completely bored by the non-action that (wasn't) unfolding before them, they amused themselves with chants and a prolonged Mexican wave. Making matters worse, after their near twenty-minute snooze fest, the match ended with a cheap DQ. Things could have been even worse: an overzealous fan jumped on top of JBL's limo, almost collapsing a gimmicked portion of the roof, which would have completely ruined the post-match angle ('Taker chokeslammed JBL through the roof of the limo). Their 'Last Ride' rematch at No Mercy was another deathly dull encounter.
