In 2008, Edge was drafted to Smackdown while still holding the World Heavyweight Championship. He went on Raw to crow about it, but Batista took out his frustration at being screwed over at Night of Champions and left Edge laying in the middle of the ring. Cue CM Punk running to ringside with referee and Money in the Bank briefcase in tow. One GTS later, and Edge was on his way to Smackdown without his title. He also never got a rematch since he had been drafted away from his title. Punk moved on to a feud with Batista, while Edge challenged Triple H for the WWE Championship which he would win in November of that year.
Scott is a former journalist and longtime wrestling fan who was smart enough to abandon WCW during the Monday Night Wars the same time as the Radicalz. He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
