The patience of the crowd towards cruiserweight action was again put to the test this week as Cedric Alexander and Drew Gulak turned a ropey start into a riveting conclusion (with a touch of ropiness remaining).

A pre-WrestleMania revitalisation job by Triple H seems to have ran out of steam though. The pair here were again treated like moving wallpaper by the Brooklyn crowd, despite Alexander's exquisite offence and Gulak's utterly sublime Rocky Balboa aesthetic.

There's perhaps no way back for the Tuesday Night lightweights. 205 has succumbed to virtual parody - or very least satire - by virtue of its own name. Crowds and careers alike haven't ever looked so dead, and despite best efforts it appears as though no exhuming will salvage what ever remains.

Sucks to be Gulak and defending (and victorious) Champion Alexander, but these are the prices you pay for "fighting for your dreams". And surely that never goes wrong...
