15 WWE Wrestlers Who Lost A Name

9. Tamina (Snuka)

It’s odd to see that WWE currently only refers to this second-generation superstar by her first name, considering the company’s previous attempts to get her over.

For years, announcers repeatedly reminded viewers that Tamina was the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Snuka. She adopted his Superfly splash as her finisher. She boasted his last name as her ring name off and on.

But Snuka’s past was checkered, having allegedly killed his girlfriend in 1983. Still, that didn’t seem to influence whether Tamina used her father’s last name or not. And even when it hasn’t been used, that hasn’t stopped WWE from playing up the familial tie.

Despite all that, Tamina is one of only a handful of long-tenured female superstars who have never won a championship, so her family name certainly hasn’t helped her in that respect.
