16 Best Wrestling Finishers Of All Time

9. 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin - The Stone Cold Stunner & Randy Orton - The RKO

Evan Bourne RKO 1 Randy Orton€™s RKO remains as one of the most popular and enjoyable finishers today. A simple jumping Cutter, Orton€™s gimmick of being able to deliver the move from €˜out of nowhere€™ has become one of the most popular phenomena in wrestling today. Randy has hit this move from numerous counters, including what many consider his most impressive, where he countered Seth Rollins€™ Curb Stomp into an RKO at WrestleMania Play Button. At the same time, the RKO is very similar to Steve Austin€™s €˜Stone Cold Stunner€™ in many ways. Both moves involve grabbing the victim€™s head and driving it into something hard (Austin€™s shoulder or in Orton€™s case, the wrestling ring), both moves have gotten incredibly loud ovations when used, and both of them are presented as able to be executed out of nowhere or without warning. Though not the most successful finishers by any means, as both Orton€™s and Austin€™s opponents have kicked out of both of these moves on several occasions, both of them remain among the most popular finishers in wrestling history. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhTHlia1NXE Just listen to the cheers Orton gets now and the ones Austin got in the past; those cheers are evidence enough that these are awesome finishing moves.
