16 Best WWE Debuts And Returns Of 2018
14. Sanity
One of the biggest disappointments in 2018 has to be how the heel stable Sanity was handled.
The group had the potential to have a real impact in both the men’s and women’s divisions, but WWE chose to call up the trio of men, leaving Nikki Cross in NXT, though they have a chance to rectify that soon. (You’d think they would’ve learned after leaving Carmella in NXT when Enzo Amore & Big Cass were called up.)
But Sanity seemed snakebitten from the start. The group was announced as part of the SmackDown roster during the Superstar Shakeup in April, but the trio didn’t debut until two months later. In seven tag or six-man matches, Sanity has won just once. And before a SmackDown match earlier this month, their last televised tag bout was in September.
The group briefly reunited with Nikki Cross in November with Cross getting a one-off match against Becky Lynch (which elevated the group’s ranking here), and with her possible return to the fold, Sanity could be on the upswing.
