16 Best WWE Debuts And Returns Of 2018
11. Trish Stratus And Lita
Team Besties made their first return to action in WWE in five years in 2018, with Lita last competing in 2012, and Trish Stratus wrestling in a couple matches in 2011.
Lita and Trish were part of the first women's Royal Rumble in January, and then teamed up to face Alicia Fox and Mickie James at Evolution. Their return matches, which also included a 10-woman tag match the following night on Raw, were clearly done to add star power to these WWE women's firsts, as well as allow two of their biggest stars to take part in those important events.
Both women initially retired from WWE in 2006 within two months of each other. Considering that their retirements were voluntary, returning periodically hasn't been viewed as controversial as Shawn Michaels' return. (They also didn't show up in Saudi Arabia - because they couldn't.)
Considering Trish and Lita added some star power to both events, it's easy to call them successes.
