Rock 'n' Roll will never die, and folks will never boo Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson. The Rock 'n' Roll were so likable, so good at garnering sympathy from the fans, that they essentially created the formula for modern tag team wrestling. Ricky Morton would use his preternatural ability to take a beating to build anticipation for the original hot tag. Gibson would then come in like a house on fire, channeling the unleashed torrent of fan support and using it to demolish their foes.

The Rock 'n' Roll broke up briefly in 1991 WCW, when Ricky joined the York Foundation as "Richard Morton." He soon reunited with Gibson in Jim Cornette's Smoky Mountain Wrestling, and they've been an inveterate babyface team ever since.
