16 Purest Babyfaces In Wrestling History

1. Ricky Steamboat

Arn Anderson once said that Ricky Steamboat was such a natural, likable babyface that he could walk down to the ring and cut off Hulk Hogan's arms with a chainsaw and not get booed. Double A was a damn perceptive man.

Steamboat had everything you could want in a pure babyface: he was soft-spoken and humble; a loving family man who brought his wife and son to the ring; a wrestling genius whose athleticism was impressive without being flashy; fierce and fearless without ever being aggressive or cruel.

Even when caught up in his most brutal rivalries, Steamboat was never out for blood. When Ric Flair and the Horsemen shredded his face on concrete, he retaliated by shredding one of the Nature Boy's prized tailored suits; and when Randy Savage tried to literally murder Steamboat with a ring bell, The Dragon was satisfied with capturing the IC championship and moving on to see new horizons.
