16 Teams That Prove WWE Should Run A Trios Tournament
7. Shinsuke Nakamura, Hideo Itami & Kota Ibushi
Let's start by saying this isn't just that WWE thing where they team guys based on their race (what's up, Titus O'Neil and Apollo Crews?). As you might recall, Hideo Itami was set to team with Kota Ibushi in last year's Dusty Classic before an injury forced the Golden Star to team with TJ "Undeniable Downgrade" Perkins. Meanwhile, Ibushi and Nakamura have history themselves, having forged a bond of mutual respect during their classic encounter at WrestleKingdom 9.
How They'd Fare: Although Nakamura, Itami and Ibushi are all masterful strikers, their personal styles couldn't be more different. Kota Ibushi is an insane risk-taker, Hideo Itami is a humorless offensive buzzsaw, and Shinsuke Nakamura is … Shinsuke Nakamura. The Strong Stylists will put down (and possibly concuss) their first-round opponents, but they won't make it to the semifinals.
