16 Things We Learned From Mark Henry On Talk Is Jericho

10. Being A Huge Wrestling Fan

Henry says that during that initial meeting with Vince he had got a chance to touch Andre The Giant's cast, which McMahon kept in his office and it literally brought tears to his eyes. He then told his soon-to-be boss the story of how he grew to love the business. When he was young his grandmother took him to a live event and Andre was on the card. The young Henry, along with a bunch of other kids, rushed to the barricades to try and reach out and touch his favorite wrestler, and when he did he fell over the barrier. Andre saw him fall and reached over and picked him and passed him back over the barricade, and he says that exact moment is the reason why he's a wrestler today. Henry says that Vince broke down at the story and admitted that he missed Andre, and Mark says he knew then that he was going to be a part of something big.
