15. The Dichotomy Between Newness & Retro

WWE spend a lot of time harping on about how things are "new" on programming. That raised an interesting contrast right at the start of Raw.

First, creaking announcer Jerry Lawler was the one handed the task of introducing Rey Mysterio, a fellow golden oldie compared to the younger members of the roster. On a show designed to usher in the future of WWE, it was two legends who did most of the talking first. Not a glaring negative, necessarily, just interesting.
