"It's a New Day, yes it is".

Finally, the words of Vince, Shane, Stephanie and Triple H during that speech on the 17 December 2018 episode of Raw are starting to ring true. There's a freedom to WWE programming that feels like a breath of fresh air, and it was in effect on this week's Raw and SmackDown too.

Kofi Kingston cut a promo from the heart, and so did Vince McMahon. Indeed, this is the most human Vince has been since Kevin Owens headbutted him back in 2017, and it's working. The same goes for everyone else; Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, Kofi, Randy Orton, AJ Styles and Shane McMahon are all better for adding some realism to their characters.

Whatever changes have happened at WWE HQ, they're for the best. TV is much more compelling, and that's not only because it's WrestleMania season. No, it's 'cause creative are adding in some subtle nuances to help spice things up.

This week's things you might've missed includes mid-match workouts, a Hall Of Fame guarantee for the future, TNA references, WCW references, old-school Bryan Danielson, fans rebelling against popular babyfaces and a legend tanning his cheeks...
