Maybe it was an own goal not to play the camera feed on those giant stage screens. Instead, WWE put generic company assets all over them, and that meant thousands (especially those further back) were just staring blankly at a huge SmackDown logo.

Thrilling.

Check the shot above. The ring looks tiny, so making out what was happening in-ring must've been rather difficult. That, combined with those who didn't give a toss anyway, made for a flat atmosphere.
