16 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Double Or Nothing 2019

6. Strong Hearts Shine In Defeat

All Elite Wrestling couldn't have picked a more perfect opener for their first official pay-per-view match, with SoCal Uncensored and Strong Hearts delivering one of the most action-packed bouts of the evening after the national anthems.

This was everything it should've been. Their goal was to get the crowd buzzing for the night ahead, and while Las Vegas was already popping hard before the wrestlers had even entered the ring, Strong Hearts and SCU took it up a notch. There wasn't an ounce of flab to be found within its 14 minutes, even during the exploratory opening stages, and with SCU in there as established fan favourites, the stage was set for Strong Hearts to break out.

T-Hawk stood out the most, This fast, powerful chop machine has flourished since leaving his stale Dragon Gate position, and while it helps that he teams with one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time in CIMA, he looked like a million dollars here. His partner, El Lindaman, took the pin falling the Best Meltzer ever, but nobody came away looking like a loser.
