16 Worst-To-Best Matches Of WWE's Summerslam Weekend
11. The Vaudevillains (With Blue Pants) defeated Blake And Murphy (With Alexa Bliss)
One day we'll all look back on this match and go, "man, who knew that six people who made so much money in WWE all really started to gain traction here." The Vaudevillains have the most developed tag gimmick (yes, moreso than Enzo and Cass) in NXT, and the quirky hipster cool of Leva "Blue Pants" Bates takes them over the top. As an indy worker, Bates is known for her cosplay gimmick, so one can only imagine what she can do as a 19th century carnie. Blake and Murphy are working on developing into Midnight Express-style heels. While yes, Alexa Bliss may not be the best fit for them as a duo (actually, they really don't need a manager to get heat), she's gaining experience here, too. She gives off a ton of vibes of one day possibly being a Alexandra York/Marlena/Terri Runnels-type. so while not ideal (as was the 1990s era WCW York Foundation for the woman who became Marlena), any big-time experience is good experience. While this was fun, check back on both of these teams in a year. They'll be so much better it'll blow your mind.
