16 WWE Attitude Era Tag Teams You Totally Don't Remember

4. The Godfather & D'Lo Brown

Speaking of teams that opened WrestleMania, D'Lo Brown and The Godfather formed an alliance to take on the heel team of Big Boss Man and Bull Buchanan at 'Mania 16. Their gimmick saw D'Lo morph into a clone of The Godfather, taking to the ring in similar 'pimp' attire and lavish jewellery. Mainstream hip hop artist Ice T gave the pair a sense of razzle-dazzle, performing Godfather's entrance music on the way to the ring. All the hype was quickly squashed as the heels picked up a fairly straightforward victory, and they disbanded shortly afterwards, a break-up which saw Brown turn heel and attack Godfather. The pair had teamed previously as members of Faarooq's 'Nation of Domination' stable, but found nowhere near the same amount of success here.
