Both men are big and bearded, with their natural jubilance disguising the fact that they're both getting on in years. Over the years both men have sacrificed their bodies and their dignity to drag a response out of their audience and they carry the appearance of the tortured (in some cases literally) clown, a punching bag, built to amuse. Both men also have a strange, unplaceable darkness inside, appearing at once foolhardy yet vulnerable, bonkers yet proudly weird. It wouldn't be too much of stretch to imagine finding either man in a boiler room, muttering usual thoughts to themselves.
