10. Blu Brothers
One look back at the mid-90s presents a wasteland of bad gimmicks. The Blu Brothers were one of them, a set of bruising twin brothers who never really did anything to warrant inclusion on the WrestleMania card. Thus, it was a surprise when they were booked against the team of "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith and Lex Luger. Those two babyfaces were constantly at or near the top of the card, thrown together only because there was nothing else better for them to do at the time. The idea that the Blu Brothers even belonged on the grand stage, let alone had a shot at winning, was ludicrous. It was also representative of the lack of talent on the proverbial depth chart that Vince McMahon thought the physically impressive, though dull brawlers, were 'Mania ready. They were beaten, in a thoroughly unimpressive match, and descended into the undercard where they belonged. It would not be until SummerSlam later that year when they would next appear on pay-per-view. There, they were defeated by The Smoking Gunns in a match that further exploited the issues facing the tag team division.
