17 Early 90s WWE Superstars You Totally Don't Remember

16. Skinner

Skinner Wwf Steve Keirn came to the WWF in 1991 and was given the gimmick of an alligator hunter from the Florida Everglades called Skinner. He was a generally unpleasant person to watch, chewing tobacco, spitting it on his opponents, and used an alligator claw as a weapon against his opponents. He was just another casualty of Vince€™s crazy gimmick phase. He did get to compete in the 1991 King of the Ring tournament, and managed to make it to the second round by defeating Virgil, only to be defeated by Bret Hart in the second round. He was also one of the many people to play the character of Doink the Clown. In this role, he helped the real Doink (played by Matt Osborne) defeat Crush in a match at WrestleMania IX. Things did work out in the end for him, however, as he opened and ran his own wrestling school in Florida, which was then absorbed into Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). Keirn was made president of FCW, and when that closed in favor of the Performance Center, he became a trainer.
