17 Early 90s WWE Superstars You Totally Don't Remember

11. Hakushi

Jinsei Shinzaki came to the WWF in 1994, under the name Hakushi, which translates roughly as €˜White Death€™ or €˜White Master€™. His gimmick was that of a Buddhist pilgrim, who are supposed to be among the most peaceful people in the world. Why anyone would find a Buddhist pilgrim a believable wrestling character is uncertain. Though he started off squashing jobbers, in 1996 he entered into a brief feud with then-WWF Champion Bret Hart. His feud was surprisingly good, which is why fans were very surprised to soon see him losing to those same jobbers that he had once demolished. His infamous loss was to Barry Horowitz, one of the most famous jobbers in WWE history. Soon after, he lost to Bradshaw, who proceeded to €˜brand€™ Hakushi with his iron. The storyline they went with after this was that Hakushi was so embarrassed from the branding that he decided to never return to WWF. In hindsight, here€™s a video of the Undertaker wrestling Jinsei Shinzaki, working under the gimmick of a zombie, or something, in a Michinoku-Pro Wresling: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2swfqkMm44Q
