10. Booking The Telly
TV has changed remarkably over the past decade, and things which seemed so far-fetched before, such as pausing live television, are now possible. Sky + has helped change the way people watch TV, enabling viewers to record and store their favourite programs, watching them at a time which suits. This means people aren't restricted to TV listings, like they were previously. It wasn't uncommon for young wrestling fans in the UK to have to 'book the TV' if they wanted to watch wrestling. This assured them that they'd have uninterrupted viewing for a few hours, meaning dad couldn't moan about missing the football. After all, you'd pre-booked it!
