17 Things We Learned From AJ Styles On Talk Is Jericho

16. Debuting At The Rumble

Jericho talks about what a great debut he had, saying that he had to ingratiate himself with basically the entire company in his first match. AJ agrees, adding that everyone wants to "get their stuff in" and he wants to be the guy who helps them do that but at the same time you have to be protective of yourself as well. He says that some people might think he did too much or sold for others excessively but he enjoyed the match and wants the roster to know that he's willing to go all out with them, give it his all and have a good time while he's doing it. Jericho mentions how the spotlight was going to be on him since he was a new guy people were excited to see and he had to come out with a bang. Styles says he did get his spots in - thanking Jericho for letting him hit the springboard on him - and says the entire night was awesome for him, adding that he never expected the response he got. He says right before he walked out he thought to himself "I hope they know me. And they did."
