17 Things We Learned From Stephanie McMahon On Live With Chris Jericho

17. Visiting China & Defending WWE

Chris reveals that Stephanie has been overseas for two weeks in China and Singapore and asks what her role was there. She replies that she was not only there on behalf of WWE but as an Eisenhower Fellow €“ a fellowship she was awarded €“ where she had to promote the product and €œdefend WWE proudly€. She says that the fellowship was created as a way to honor President Eisenhower who, rather than being memorialized in a more traditional way wanted to recognize people who €œhelp change the world.€ It€™s pretty impressive that it only took Stephanie about two minutes to humbly pat herself on the back for her achievements. The two then discuss how ridiculous it is that in this day and age people still need to be educated about WWE and their brand of entertainment, and Stephanie agrees, adding that that€™s her job as Chief Brand Officer. She points out that WWE is in 177 countries and 35 different languages with over 485 million social media followers. She also cites the €œaward-winning first ever direct-to consumer live streaming service€ (WHAT?) and credits her father for paving the way for pay-per-view with WrestleMania.
