17 Things You Probably Missed From WWE SmackDown (Aug 20)

11. Rey Mysterio Calling Spots

Rey Mysterio Dropkick
WWE

Rey-Rey could be heard whispering the word "dropkick" to Jey Uso when he was on the canvas fixing his mask. Then, as if by magic, Jey got to his feet, charged in and took a basement dropkick to the knee so he'd dangle over the middle rope ready for the 619.

The pair didn't complete that move. Jey moved and they went into the finishing sequence with Dominik getting ejected for trying to cheat. Rey doesn't normally get caught calling spots, so this was interesting.

10. The State Of That Announce Desk

WWE SmackDown Money In The Bank
WWE

WWE kept showing extreme closeups of the Money In The Bank briefcase Baron Corbin nicked from Big E. Look closely and you'll see something very a-typical for the company. Found it yet? No, the MITB case is fine. No, Michael Cole doesn't have a sneaky stash of sweeties.

That announce desk is in a hellish state.

It was all scuffed and looked quite dirty. Some of the paint had rubbed off, and it just looked...shabby. That's not something anyone can say about WWE's gear. They're usually top notch when it comes to keeping everything fresh.

9. Tegan Is Gone Again

Tegan Nox Shotzi Blackheart
WWE

Nobody can make up their minds.

Tegan Nox and Shotzi Blackheart had their names shortened when they debuted on the main roster. The pair were simply referred to as "Shotzi & Nox". Then, for some reason, Tegan got her forename back. Now, who knows why, that name has vanished yet again.

Tegan is no more - she's Nox and that's that. Maybe.
