17 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Nov 13)

2. A Made Man

Scorpio Sky
AEW

A tag team wrestler he may be, but AEW have done a tremendous job elevating Scorpio Sky since SoCal Uncensored walked into the promotion and the 'Violent Delight' scored his biggest triumph last night, pinning AEW World Champion Chris Jericho in the night's main event.

Sky's elevation deserves all the praise in the world. If he was SCU's least well-known wrestler they arrived, he certainly isn't now, having stood up for the injured Christopher Daniels in the tournament, starred throughout, scored the belts in an awesome display of courage, then handed Jericho his first L last night. That's how you get a guy over, and that's how you make a star.

With Scorp now a made man, there's every chance AEW could use last night to book a World Title fight between him and Jericho. Sky has a justifiable shot at 'Le Champion' in his back pocket. It makes all the sense in the world and yes, Sky would be sent out to lose, but the idea of him becoming Le Doublé Champion and not 'The Alpha' is a tasty, tasty prospect.

So shout-outs to Scorpio Sky. He's been one of AEW's MVPs so far, and long may it continue,
