17 WWE Raw Slammy Awards Predictions

And the winners are...

The annual WWE Slammy awards are a bit of a novelty, a light hearted reflection upon the year in pro wrestling. In the past it has mainly been rigged by WWE as a narrative device. Just like the WWE title, a Slammy is just a prop. But even then, a win is a win, there's a degree of prestige involved, and often the awards will represent the right decision. This year, fans will vote on the awards, using social media to help decide the winners. In theory, that should make the 2015 Slammys a credible occasion. There's seventeen categories, with nominees picked by WWE, and the following is what to expect when it comes to the winners.

17. LOL Moment Of The Year

Nominees: Edge and Christian bring back the kazoo on Raw. (September 7th) The Bushwhackers' (Bushwhacker Butch and Bushwhacker Luke) WWE Hall of Fame induction speech. The Miz and Damien Mizdow's erectile dysfunction commercial on Raw. (March 2nd) The New Day get Stephanie McMahon and Triple H to dance on Raw. (September 14th) R-Truth mistakes himself of being in the Money in the Bank ladder match on Raw. (June 8th)
This one is absolutely on the light hearted scale, it is something for the younger fans to have a bit of fun with. The choices aren't that great, but The New Day winning seems obvious. They are popular with the kind of fans who'll be voting in this contest, and the sight of Stephanie dancing is memorable. On the other hand, Edge and Christian may get the nostalgia nod, while the R-Truth thing really was funny. But given The New Day's current status and prominence, you can expect to see them picking up the gold. Winners: The New Day
