17 WWE Returns Confirmed For Raw 25th Anniversary Show

9. Jerry Lawler

Steve Austin
WWE

Literally dodging death at the desk following a 2012 collapse, Jerry Lawler's most infamous moment at the red brand's announce booth overshadowed periods of genuine excellence behind the microphone alongside Vince McMahon and Jim Ross in the show's early years.

As an acerbic and hilarious heel, 'The King' effortlessly stepped into Bobby Heenan's lofty shoes as the company's best colour commentator, and lent his voice to the organisation's brush with the mainstream at the height of the Attitude Era.

Like The Simpsons, his punchlines and personality felt tired and trite after ten years or so, but a presumed reunion with Jim Ross at one of the broadcast boots should hopefully give both the opportunity to roll back the years.
