18 Most Intimidating Wrestler Nicknames

6. The Hardcore Chair Swingin' Freak

As a technical wrestler, Balls Mahoney leaves a lot to be desired. Put a chair in his hands and that changes everything. Similar to others on the list like Abdullah The Butcher, Mick Foley and Sabu, Balls is somebody who does brutally violent things to his opponents, his partners, and to himself. The nickname of The Hardcore Chair Swingin' Freak isn't the smoothest of monikers when it comes to rolling off the tongue, but it sums up Balls Mahoney perfectly. If ever there was a case of 'does exactly as it says on the tin', this is it. In fact, the nickname itself was often used to refer to Balls and on/off partner Axl Rotten. Whether teaming or not, the pair had a similar style and both loved to wield chairs at opponents on a regular basis. A match with Balls Mahoney, not matter what card it's on or where it's positioned on that card, near-enough always guarantees a chair shot for whoever is unlucky enough to be in the ring with him. And we're not talking chairshots that aim for the meatier parts of the back. When Balls swings a chair, he connects hard and brutally with his opponent. Many a concussion have been the result of a Balls chairshot, and he's the type of extreme style of wrestler that is seemingly becoming a thing of the past these days. For the sake of wrestlers' health, that's likely a good thing.
