18 Reasons Why Last Night's WWE Raw Was An Absolute Mess

1. Complete Indifference To A Top Star

A divisive performer she may be, but Ronda Rousey is supposed to be one of WWE's top stars. She's the women's division's strongest pushed wrestlers, and established mainstream celebrity, and the most natural rookie this company has seen since Kurt Angle first traded legitimate competition for sports entertainment. She isn't perfect, and hasn't moved the needle to the extent many had predicted, but she's a credit to the company, and someone who'll be missed should she depart after WrestleMania 35.

But the indifference that greeted her show-closing scene was telling last night.

Rousey defeated Ruby Riott, then battered the rest of her Squad, leaving all three lying in what was supposed to be a triumphant babyface "standing tall" moment, though it was met with complete indifference from Layfayette. Oops.

The crowd were dead all night, WWE presented the match with no build, Riott was an undeserving challenger, and the bout itself was on the lower tier of Ronda's body of work. Still, this is somebody who'll be entrusted with headlining WrestleMania 35, and her victory couldn't have come off flatter.
