18 Reasons Why Last Night's WWE Raw Was An Absolute Mess

15. Big Bland Brock

Paul Heyman tried his best last night, God bless, him, but his Brock Lesnar hype piece stunk.

A brief confrontation with Braun Strowman led to 'The Advocate' cutting an in-ring promo, during which he promised to "educate fans on the history of Lesnar." A typically slick WWE video package came next. It featured not only a curtailed breakdown of his WWE career so far, but the path he took to reach the company in the first place, his amateur wrestling career, and even his UFC run. A nice, well-prepared video piece, but nothing fans shouldn't have already known.

This is the problem with Lesnar as a part-time champion: WWE can't always build with him, and filler like this is inevitable when they try to do it without him.

While Heyman and the production team did a solid job, this was utterly, utterly pointless, and built no further hype for Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins.
