Ricochet deserves great credit for getting himself over in last night's tag match, and definitely stood out more than the rest of the NXT guys, but him and Finn Balor vs. Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush was a flawed match marred by a cripplingly dull first and second act.

The crowd reflected this. Lashley and Rush conjured indifference, not heat, in their control segments. Bobby should never work restholds. He's a physical specimen, one of the strongest guys in the company, and should be tossing smaller wrestlers around like ragdolls, not stifling them with chinlocks. Why does he have to be Dull WWE Heel No. 405, and more importantly, why does he have to be used to sap every last drop of energy out of what could've been an electric Ricochet debut match?

Going on for about 8-9 minutes too long, the bout heated up towards the end. 'The One And Only' was finally allowed to showcase his freak athleticism, using it to lull the crowd out of their slumber, then score the pin with his 630 Splash. The right destination, but the journey was tedious.
