While we're on the subject of polarizing figures, Justin was hit with the inevitable Chris Benoit question, a timely inquiry with the ten year anniversary of the horrific murders rapidly approaching.
Roberts was asked his opinion on Chris prior to the tragedy, and if he was as "off" as other people have said.
He responded with, "Yes, he was crazy." He added that Benoit had different personalities; one with a big heart, but on the nights he was drinking or taking pills (or both), there was a different side and that side was unstable.
As the years have passed, the image of Chris Benoit as the wholesome, CTE-plagued family man who was merely brokenhearted at the loss of his close friends has started to fade into the background in favor of recollections of his cruelty. Undoubtedly he was a complex individual capable of the worst horrors mankind can commit, regardless of his condition.
