Mick mentions how Shane could have easily used his stroke to jump in and out of the spotlight and never really put in the effort to have noteworthy matches, but that he worked hard to take his matches to the next level and become a fearless competitor who did things that defied belief.

Foley says that by the time Shane and Kurt Angle had their King of the Ring match, the fans had accepted him as a world class performer, and he asks why he felt that was necessary.

Shane replies that he always felt like he had something to prove and that there's definitely something to being the son of the boss that pushed him to go the extra mile.

Initially he assumed his run as a wrestler would only be a couple of matches, but once he started showcasing certain things, both he and the fans wanted to see more from him, and he wanted to go out and steal the show every time.
