15. AJ Styles Trying To Save Nakamura’s Stipulation Choice

Right after Shinsuke Nakamura dropped Tye Dillinger in a better-than-expected warm up match for MITB, AJ Styles appeared on screen to cut a promo and give context to Nakamura's Last Man Standing choice last week.

According to AJ, Naka picked that particular stipulation because it suits his strike-based style. Wouldn't it have made more sense then to invent a "Knockout Match" (during which the first man to lose consciousness fails), or something like that? Such a stip would suit Shinsuke's Kinshasa knee strike.

It's almost like WWE's writers realised they needed to give some sort of reason for the heel's decision, and so they shoved a quick line into AJ's promo. It's better than nothing, to be fair.
