When fans chant, "We Want Tables" during a No DQ match, they expect to see some wood shattered not long after. Both AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura, perhaps knowing tables would be a part of the main event later, decided to completely ignore them.

The crowd thought they might get their wish a little later when Nakamura looked like he might reach under the ring, but that was a false dawn; Shinsuke was actually looking for a steel chair, and he grabbed one from behind the announcer's desk instead of taking one from a pile spotted earlier during the Carmella vs. Charlotte Flair match.

AJ and Shinsuke only worked one single table spot in their match when the latter was thrown into the German announce desk. That was it, and NJ would have to wait to see one broken.
