18 Things You Probably Missed From WWE Raw (July 8)

11. Extreme Rules Has Serious ECW History

Paul Heyman

In Paul Heyman's promo, the 'Advocate' extraordinaire said he knew a thing or two about Extreme Rules. He's right, he does. Heyman was the boss of the original ECW, and he was there when WWE revived the brand for their One Night Stand events.

Those, in turn, became WWE branded and One Night Stand was changed to Extreme Rules. This Sunday's show also takes place in Philadelphia, which was ECW's spiritual home. There's a deceptive amount of ECW history in this weekend's card.

It was great to see Paul E point that out.
