Shane was probably so overcome with happiness over that aforementioned sign that he lost command over the English language during the opening segment. For some reason, he decided to claim that Kofi Kingston is "an overnight success over the past 11 years".

That...doesn't make any sense.

Nobody can be an sudden hit over such a protracted period. They're either a flash in the pan success story that emerges quickly, or they're a slow-burning epic that takes time to peak. On SmackDown, Shane wanted it both ways.
