19 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Shawn Michaels

1. He Was A Part Of The WrestleMania 20 Main Event

WWE doesn't call Shawn Michaels "Mr. WrestleMania" because of his win-loss record because he only has 6 wins compared with 11 wins. He earned that name because of his incredible in-ring performances at WrestleMania that were exceptional. When WWE released the "Mr. WrestleMania" DVD earlier this year, it was supposed to include all of his WrestleMania matches with introductions from him. The problem with that is they left out one of the match. Not just any match either. It was a main event triple threat match at WrestleMania 20, which was held in the world's most famous arena Madison Square Garden. You would think that a big match like that wouldn't be completely omitted from the record, but it was. Why was it completely omitted? Two words: Chris Benoit. It was a great match too. It was one of the best at WrestleMania or any other WWE show for that matter. Michaels was a part of the match that saw Benoit make Triple H and ended with Benoit as the World Heavyweight Champion for the first time in his career. The ovation was huge. The moment was memorable. Due to the Chris Benoit double murder homicide, WWE has chosen to ignore anything that he did in his career. It's just a shame that one of the best matches of Shawn's career is also erased because of the actions of another man. That's it for this look back at things that WWE and Michaels wants to forget. This series has been going for about four months now. If you have any requests about who should be written about next, let us know in the comments below.
