Take a bow, Jimmy Smith.

Raw's new play-by-play man nailed his commentary debut alongside the ever-dependable Corey Graves and Byron Saxton. Together, the trio kept things simple, and Jimmy let his cohorts do most of the heavy lifting when it came to storytelling. He's a big improvement over Adnan Virk - the now former Raw anchor was blatantly out of his depth across seven weeks of telly, and never really settled.

Now, onto all the flagship's hidden gems.

Raw's writers weren't quite as slick as new boy Jim. They outright buried Shayna Baszler in a match nobody asked for, then went one step further by making the ex-NXT killer look like a weirdo too. Things have been so rough on the show that some wrestlers have even been scripted to subtly acknowledge the three hour slog fans sit through.

Other things you might've missed included exactly how Sheamus broke his nose, the creepiest ThunderDome fan ever, Riddle defying WWE's well-known hatred of first names and more. Also, The Miz has regenerative powers, Graves made an unfortunate botch on comms and creative forgot their own rules.
